Pawtch is a virtual pet for Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app uses and what it does with it.
If you turn on “Use your Health data”, the app asks for permission to read:
And to save to Health:
This data is used only for the app’s features, on the watch. It never leaves your device to us or to third parties. You can change these permissions at any time in Settings → Health on your iPhone or watch.
The app uses your location only during a real walk, to measure distance with GPS and draw the route, which is saved with the workout in the Health app. It is not sent to us or to third parties.
The watch’s motion sensors let your pet walk or jog at your pace and notice when you climb stairs. This data is processed on the watch and not stored.
On your pet’s anniversary you can blow out the candles on its cake. To do that, the app measures the microphone’s volume while the cake is on screen. No audio is recorded or stored. If you don’t allow it, you can tap the candles instead.
Alerts (hunger, bath time, anniversary…) are created on the watch. We don’t use remote notifications.
Your pet’s state and your settings are stored only on the watch. Deleting the app deletes them. Data saved to the Health app is managed in Health.
The app is suitable for all ages and doesn’t collect data from anyone.
If anything changes, we’ll update this page and its date.
